11. Groove milling for dowel screws

There are many types of concealed connectors, among which edge-mounted screw fasteners offer several advantages: easy assembly, low cost, etc. However, the drawback is the need to manually measure the screw positions on the edge, and there's a risk of splitting the panel edge if no pilot hole is pre-drilled.

In BAZIS, you should use screws configured according to Woodsoft’s setup, so that the software can correctly recognize and process them during CNC generation and nesting.

The drilling parameters of the fitting are shown in the image below:

Then create the accessory diagram, attach the connectors just as you would for standard fittings, and export the DXF file in the usual way as described in Step 2: BAZIS CNC / CAD System

The next important part is configuring recognition in Woodsoft Nesting:

  • Define the cutting tool: Set D = 9.25 (you can assign this to any tool, not necessarily T2).

  • Declare that drilling operations will be executed using the defined tool.

This setup allows Woodsoft Nesting to correctly interpret and execute the accessory screw holes using the designated tool.

For the drilling declaration section, configure it as shown in the image below:

After optimizing the file, you will get CNC running files like this:
