In actual production detailing, many manufacturers want to perform edge grooving on parts to create K-shaped or J-shaped handle grips using CNC machining.
There may also be cases of modeling errors that result in grooves extending beyond the part’s boundary, exceeding the cutting tool diameter.
Additionally, certain accessories with recessed features may extend outside the part... all of which can lead to cutting into adjacent parts.
The Woodsoft algorithm has been updated to prevent such cases. You can now safely use a V-bit for edge beveling or a profiling bit for edge grooving without worrying about cutting into adjacent parts.
